Gail (India) Limited presents, “BEATS N PIECES – T20 OF CLASSICAL MUSIC”, an initiative by Matra in association withSatikanta Guha Foundation took place at Garden High School.
The entire concept of the show was byAnubrata Chatterjee.
There were performances by Mayookh Bhoumik, Snehesh Nag, Pratik Srivastav,Rageshri Das, Debjit Patitundi, Sohon Ghosh,Allarakha Kalawant, Green Room Tapes (Srinath, Rajdeep, Sameel), Debashish Karmakar,Kaushik Banerjee and Anubrata Chatterjee.
Aninda Chatterjee, Tanmoy Bose, Satrajit Sen,Srikanta Achrya and Mainak Bhaumik were present at the event.
Beats&Pieces, T20 of Classical Music is the brain child of Anubrata Chatterjee. The evening started with an introductory speech by young tabla maestro, Anubrata Chatterjee.
He explained about Beats&Pieces, T20 of Classical Music and how it is connecting to the youth. The evening started with you g sitarist, Snehesh Nag who played Raag Shyam Kalyan in Jhaptaal along with Sohon Ghosh on Tabla.
Next was sarangi player AllaRakha Kalavant.
He presented Raag Behag in Tintal. He was accompanied by Ehren Hanson on Tabla. Next to hit the stage was the very gifted Pratik Shrivastav who presented a Raag Rageshree in Tintal. On tabla was Debjit Patitundi.
Then came the turn of the only lady performer of the evening, Rageshri Das. She presented thumri along with Koushik Banerjee on tabla and Debasish Karmakar on Harmonium.
Followed by that was the tabla solo performance of Anubrata Chatterjee in Tintal. That was followed by a ghazal tro of Green Room Tapes by Srinath, Rajdeep & Sameel. The last act was tabla solo by Mayookh Bhaumik. The grand finale was specially designed by Anubrata Chatterjee where all the musicians performed together with a bombusting tehai. He also presented Tintal.
