Sunday 27th August, 2017: In this monsoon, at PC Chandra Gardens, the renowned Violin brothers Deb Shankar and Jyoti Shankar presented the string orchestra conducted by them in Monsoon Concert on last Sunday at Tulip hall, PC Chandra Gardens, Kolkata. Music has a great power of bringing people together. With so many forces in this world acting to drive wedges between people, Music is one way for young people to connect with themselves, but it is also a bridge for connecting with others through music. They performed with stalwart musicians like Pt Ravi Shankar, Zubin Mehta and Ustaad Amjaad Ali Khan in various prestigious venues like Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Forum in Barcelona in Spain, Paleo Festival In Switzerland, Moscow conservatory, Toronto Center For Arts, Tampa Performing Arts, Florida.
The variety of events take place at the P.C. Chandra Gardens including marriages, receptions, sangeet, engagement ceremonies, anniversaries, birthday parties and other family or social ceremonies. It is a preferred location for celebrating corporate events like conferences, get-togethers, fashion shows and beauty contests.
