Anusree Jana, Kolkata : Nabagram Hiralal Paul College or Konnagar College of West Bengal’s Hooghly district has been witness of a despicable act committed by the supporter of the state’s ruling party.
The alleged incident happen when the M.A students of the college refused to chant ‘Mamata Banerjee Jindabad’ and ‘Trinamool Congress Jindabad’.
The allegations are when those students refused chant in favor of Chief Minister, some TMC supporting students locked them in the Union room and Subrata Chatterjee, Professor of Bengali Department was beaten as he tried to release the locked students.
Professor Chatterjee said he was ‘targeted’ by Students from Trinamool Student Union and he also denied having any sort of argument with any of them.
But the Trinamool Student Union of the College denied any such allegation.
