The two-year thesis track program is led by BGU’s department of Communication Systems Engineering (CSE) and provides students with in-depth knowledge and research skills in the fields of networking and communications. The program is led by top-tier scientists and world-renowned researchers who conduct cutting-edge research in networking, hardware, software, and the communication technologies that are required by the industry. The faculty has broad expertise covering network optimization, queuing theory, graph theory, network protocols, algorithms, signal processing, network coding, hardware design, and physical layer communications.
In addition to its academic excellence, the Department of CSE collaborates closely with both Israeli and global hi-tech companies and is associated with several innovative startups. The department also participates in FP7 projects under the framework of national and European consortia.
Program delivery:
The 2-year M.Sc. program is a thesis (research) track program that provides students with the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of communication systems engineering and taught completely in English. Students will work closely with faculty members and industry partners to develop new technologies that address real-world problems.
Admission Cycle: Applications are now being accepted for Fall 2023.
Application Deadline: Rolling Admissions
Course Start Date: Fall 2023 courses will begin in October. The Academic year in Israel is generally October – July.
Admission Requirements:
👉B.Sc. degree in Communication System engineering or in closely related fields from an accredited institution at a minimum GPA of 80/100 according to the Israeli grading system.
👉TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or an equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English.
👉GRE is recommended but not required.

Tuition: The tuition fee for the MSc program is approximately $5,000 USD per year.
