The magnum-opus, Aajisai, the fine-dining Japanese dine den on the 5th
Floor of Quest Mall, has made that possible! Over the past one year, it has been pleasing the gourmands of Kolkata with a hand full of experiences like never before!
In a first-of-its-kind in Kolkata, the fully automatic Sushi Conveyor belt for a-la-carte dishes has
already blown away the city of joy with its unique and inviting aspect. It feels like a dream when
your favorite plate of Katsu Curry or your bowl of Ramen accompanied by delectable Sushi or Sashimi comes directly from the kitchen on an automated carrier and all you need to do is just pick up your food!
It is also among the first Japanese restaurants in the city to have a Teppanyaki section divided
into veg and non-veg. This live counter has large steel plates with special equipment to make
sure the steam doesn’t disturb the guests, where the food is being cooked. Serving Authentic
Japanese cuisine with fully automated services and winning the hearts of the Patrons were a challenge, and Aajisai passed it with flying colours.
They have recently introduced a beverage menu to cater the repeated requests from their patrons. The beverage menu consists of an exquisite range of Signature Cocktails and Mocktails, Japanese Single Malts, Japanese Beer and Sake (Japanese rice wine).
The Chef has also worked out a brilliant Chef’s special menu for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, which is perfectly balanced from beginning to the end and will give diners a full- blown experience of Japanese delicacies.
Both variants offer a similar 6-course meal structure starting with rich and freshly made Suan La Tang Soup (Spicy Hot & Sour Soup) followed by delectable Japanese style Chicken or Vegetarian Appetizers like Kushiage or Sesame age. No meal here can be completed without
some lip-smacking Sushi and the Chef has gone above and beyond by coming up with
vegetarian variants of the same, eg. Cheese Cream Avocado Roll, Aparagus Tempura Roll etc.
For those, who would prefer something a bit fishy, Salmon and Tuna variants will definitely please their taste buds. What would be a meal without some Japanese style stir-fry dishes before the Maincourse? Choose from amazing choices like Suzuki in Pirikara Sauce (Grilled
Seabass Cooked in Spicy Garlic Sauce) or Tofu Pirikara Sauce (Grilled Tofu Cooked in Sautéed Garlic). Now time for the main course and it too won’t disappoint- Rice and Noodle variants for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. You can choose over Vegetable Yaki Soba (Fried

Mr. Palash Banerjee, the CEO of Aajisai is the first restaurateur who dared to take up the
challenge of offering authentic Japanese culinary experience before the people of Kolkata.
According to him, many outlets have cropped up in the city who claim to offer the same cuisine
but did not dare to pay much weightage to the authenticity of the cuisine thus results in
offering fusion variety of the same involving loads of spices, salt and sauces which is against the
grammar of Japanese food and deprive the guests from enjoying the healthier quotient of the
cuisine.
