Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (JIMSH) Hospital, West Bengal along with its sister unit Budge Budge Institute of Technology (BBIT), has hosted the promotion of “Fauji Calling”, a film directed by Aaryaan Saxena. The star cast of the film includes renowned actors like – Sharman Joshi, Mugdha Godse, Bidita Bag, Ranjha Vikram Singh and others. Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya; Principal, Dr. Soumitra Chatterjee; MSVP along with other Deans of both the Institute were also present during the promotion of the film along with the star cast at the campus.
Due to the COVID induced lockdown, this is one of the major films that is going to be released in Cinema halls after a long period of time. This film is about a soldier who sacrifices his life during an attack. His family struggles following the attack which they’ve to face along with overcoming their loss. During the promotion Sharman Joshi interacted with the students and inspired them with his motivational speech on important role of army and the impact of their bravery, noble activities on students. It’s more important to have the strength and determination to endure the process.
Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharyya, Principal, JIMSH said, “We feel honored that this promotion is taking place in our institute. We, as an institution have always sought to instill in our student’s patriotic fervor towards our incredible nation and esteem and admiration for our guardians – our soldiers. This film also seeks to achieve just that. I am hoping it will be a success.”

JIMSH has always admired the tribute and work of the soldiers who keep all of us safe without a pause. Hosting the promotional activity of such a movie is also our way of saluting the work of army men.”
