Let the New Year celebrations begin a bit early for the Bengalis this time…be it
food or clothes, Poila Boisakh means celebrations of all sorts. If Choitro Sale is
for shopping at drop dead prices, the Choitro Special Menu at Paranthe Wali
Galli is drop dead gorgeous.
Since Chef Rahul Arora is celebrating “Poila Boishakh”, the new menu “Gelo
Choitro, Aschhe Boishakh” is all about our very favourite Bengali delicacies in
the form of Paranthas. On the vast spread there will be Shorshe Dhonepata
Maach Paratha, Posto Chicken Paratha, Phulkopi Shingara Paratha, Chholar
Dal Narkel Paratha, Enchor Gondhoraj Paratha, Bapi Chanachurer Paratha,
Tok Jhal Misti Kumro Paratha, Payesh Paratha and Makha Sandesh Paratha
available. To pair these parathas with, you can also avail Gurer Shorbot, and
Aam Kashondi Makha.
Rahul says, “As the season takes its course, the weather changes from winter
to summer, and we are at the last month of the Bengali Calender, we see a
change in the market too. Paranthe Wali Galli bids farewell to the winter and
welcomes the summer with its festival “Gelo Choitro Aschhe Boishakh”. We
expand our creative horizons by taking some quintessential Bengali flavours
and ingredients and converting them into delicious parathas. We wish to bring
in the summer and also usher in the New Year with a month long festival.”
I know you have already started planning to visit Paranthe Walli this Boishakh.
Do drop in with your family and friends to try out those Bengali flavours with a
twist, at very pocket friendly prices, anytime between 15th of march to 15th
April and make your Choitro and Boishakh-the most happening!
