The idea was to make Thai food more popular in Kolkata. The Thai Consul General Preecha Kaensa invited food bloggers and writers for a dinner at his residence. Some of the favorite dishes of Thailand was prepared by his wife Metta Kaensa and his personal chef cooked with special care for the guests. The authentic flavour and taste of Thailand had been added to traditional papaya Salad, with shredded papaya, peanut, carrot, chilli, tamarind water and lot of other spices and herbs. Traditional Thai green curry, pad Thai, fish with basil and woon(Thai jelly) were the other Thai popular dishes to offer at the banquet. Some of the guests became very much interested to try Thai cooking process at that occasion. Papaya Salad was at the centre of attraction to try this out. The use of herbs analysed and demonstrated to draw the attention to Thai food. The very common use of coconut milk described on that gala party.
