At a time when uncertainty looms large, JIS University has decided to give scholarship to students to boost their career and future job prospects. A scholarship of 20% on tuition fee, that is, Rs.10,000 per semester is applicable to the students who have scored DGPA of 7.0 and above in their last qualifying examination from other colleges for pursuing M.Tech. The M.Tech students will also be entitled to get an assistance ship of Rs 3000 per month.
The assistanceship, however, does not stand in case of civil engineering students.
The move comes in after the demand for IT jobs sees a surge post the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country.
“The students receiving the monetary benefit from the university will be required to devote atleast 8-10 hours per week as teacher/ research assistant in their respective departments. This could include tutorials, laboratory classes, development and maintenance of laboratories,” said Mr Taranjit Singh, managing director, JIS group.
For further information and other conditions to avail the benefit, the students are requested to visit the university’s website.
