After one and a half months of strict lockdown, Aminia is all geared up to open its doors from June 17 onwards. As per the Government regulations, it will function for 8 hours from 12 noon to 8 pm with 50% seating capacity. The focus has been shifted to providing a safe and quality dining experience. All the nine outlets of the Mughlai restaurant chain in Eastern India are open from 12 noon to 8 pm starting from the seventeenth of June onwards. They are strictly abiding by the COVID-19 mandates to make your dining experience completely safe. Owners of the Aminia Restaurants, Kabir Azhar and Asher Ather, are extremely glad about the new relaxation. “Every visitor’s safety concern is our topmost priority, and we are wholeheartedly looking forward to welcoming them back,” said Kabir Azhar, Director, Aminia Restaurants.
The restaurant has undertaken essential safety measures directed by the government, which apply to both the patrons and the in-house staff. All the staff is vaccinated. Temperature checks of the customers are being done at the entrance, along with proper sanitization. Visitors are only allowed if they are wearing masks. The physical distancing of six feet is being maintained in the queue and inside the restaurant near the toilet and washing area. The tables are arranged at a six feet distance to follow the social distancing norms. Sanitizer sachets are being kept at every table. For the in-house staff, the restaurant has made masks and gloves compulsory. Frequent temperature checks are also being conducted. It has also reduced the kitchen staff to 50% capacity to maintain social distancing. The tables, chairs, cutlery, and crockery are being cleaned and disinfected after every meal. It has included the option to avail of biodegradable cutlery, crockery, and a sanitizer sachet at a paltry sum of INR 20. Deep cleaning and sanitization are being done in regular intervals to keep the premises decontaminated. The restaurant has also decided to encourage the customers to use disposable menu and digital payment methods.
“Amidst the partial lockdown, with our own home delivery, we tried quenching the hunger of our patrons. But we miss them visiting our various outlets. Even though COVID-19’s curve is declining with each passing day, we were suspicious about the footfall initially. However, last weekend Aminia witnessed 70% occupancy and a crowd that exceeded all expectations” added Kabir.
The history of Aminia dates back to 1929. Today, Aminia is being run by the third and fourth generations with nine outlets across the city. Aminia’s perfect rendition of Calcutta biryani fills your heart with joy. However, if biryani is not your go-to food, then platters like Mutton Pasinda Kebab, Aminia Special Curry, Mutton Galawati Kebab, Chicken/Mutton Chaap with fresh Tandoori roti, etc. are equally delectable. The smooth firni is the classic sweet ending to your meal. However, the outlets will be having a limited number of dishes available on their menu. It intends to resume the full menu shortly.
Aminia is situated in nine different locations, serving people everywhere with love. It is no longer your average biryani eatery but an iconic food joint that boasts of a heritage of 90 years. So, if you miss gorging on a sumptuous plate of biryani as much as we do, then Aminia is the place that you should be hitting right away. Come along with your friends and family and catch up on all the conversations you have been missing out on, alongside a flavourful plate of Mughlai or Awadhi food.
