Bengalis look forward to Bengal’s winter, which is accompanied by fragrant pithes . For Ilish Truly Bong Restaurant, it has been a constant endeavour to highlight all the festivals which are an inherent part of our region and showcase the food associated with it. Our chefs have planned an eclectic menu consisting of fusion types of Pithes that are exclusively available during the winters. Pithey Panchali Utsav is on till 14th February 2023, so visit us and experience the World of Pithe Puli.”
“During this season, in many villages, farmers celebrate the harvesting of rice with a Laxmi puja that’s done in the place where hay is stored. With the newly harvested rice many kinds of dishes are made, including pithe, Puli and payesh, to offer to the goddess Laxmi, which is why we have named our menu ‘Pithe-r Panchali’, to acknowledge that celebration that happens in rural bengal”, was further added Mrs. Lopamudra Kamilya, Owner, Ilish Truly Bong Restaurant.
