While addressing the Media Dr. Ujjwal Kanti Debnath, Professor of Orthopedics, Department of Orthopedic & Spinal Surgery, JIMSH said, “Patients request and deserve the attention of a physician who will listen to their history and perform careful neurological examinations. Additionally, patients should certainly have the opportunity to ask questions, without feeling intimidated. And with that this year, we have planned the operation of 12 patients with spinal deformity here at JIMSH and we are pleased to say that it is entirely philanthropic. It gives us great pleasure to inform you that in the future, we want to extend our support to more impoverished children and adults.”
According to Mr. KK Gupta, Vice-Chairman, JIMSH said, “After a great success from the first conference we planned it for the second time in Kolkata at JIMSH with the intent of educating ourselves with practical recommendations for handling pre and post operational care of such a difficult spinal condition in children and adults by the National and International surgeons. Our main aim is to serve them with intense care and make them understand the scenario of it.”
