Aminia Restaurant is opening its new delivery outlet at the corporate hub of the city, Salt Lake. Amidst the raging fear of surging covid 19 cases and a partial lockdown in the state, Aminia has decided not to back out from any of their expansion plans. Â
Last year, this popular Biryani chain announced their plan of opening a few delivery joints, when covid-19 started to spread throughout the world affecting our lives drastically leaving the gastronomes with no choice but ordering food online. Â
Aminia Restaurant is a widely popular brand in West Bengal, known for its special Mughlai/Awadhi cuisine. This brand started its journey in 1929 with a very small outlet in Zakaria Street, Kolkata. They laid their foundation in one of the oldest and largest building, Futnani Chamber on 15th August 1947; this brand started writing a new tale in the gastronomic history of the City of Joy. With the passing time, this brand expanded establishing outlets all across West Bengal. Presently they have a total of 10 outlets including the new one. Â
Coming to its food, Aminia serves authentic Mughlai/Awadhi cuisine. The signature dishes of Aminia include Kolkata Special Biryani, Chicken/ Mutton Chaap, Chicken/ Mutton Rezala, and last but not the list Aminia Special Mutton Curry, which was developed during the early â90s. Apart from the single food items, Aminia has more than 8 delectable combos on their menu. Â
âThe COVID-19 pandemic has drastically affected our food industry as government chooses to close down  restaurants to slow the spread of the virus. The strict lockdown has opened the new reality for restaurateurs  that is redefining our business & going digital by using the latest technology platforms which is no longer a  unique differentiator. We promise to keep the brand experience intact even when it is being packaged in a box  and delivered by a masked rider who brings the experience of Aminia at home.â said Asher Ather, the business  partner of Aminia Restaurants.
According to Kabir Azhar, the CEO of Aminia Restaurants âit is our sole responsibility to ensure customers get safe and hygienic food at their doorstep. We donât know when and how things are going to be normal, but we can pray to our almighty and have faith to win this battle altogether. Requesting patrons to support their favourite restaurants by ordering directly”.Â
Firoz Molla, the operation in-charge of Aminia Restaurants reported that, âOur home delivery has garnered more sales as compared to that through other food apps as the prices are quite less when it comes to our home delivery, so people prefer this more. The dine-in sale has been converted into delivery sale that has gone up by 13-14 per cent and only 3-4 per cent increase is through online apps. The rest is through our own delivery process. Aminia Restaurant is also coming up with its own application in a few days time and it will be easy for the patrons to directly order from the app itself.”Â
Aminia is adhering to all the safety norms as instructed by the government. They also check the temperature of the delivery executive, chef and attach the details in the food packet.Â
