KOLKATA BIRYANI CHAIN AMINIA 🍽️ REOPENS ITS OUTLETS WITH STRICT HYGIENE MEASURES

Almost after 2.5 months of complete lockdown, the government has decided to open the restaurants and hotels during the fifth phase of the lockdown with a new set of rules and regulations. The industry is prepared to welcome the customers with capacity-constrained dining rooms and reconstructed service model, where safety is the top-most priority.

Aminia, the famous Mughlai restaurant chain, has restarted its dine-in facilities from 8th June with 30% seating capacity and strict safety measures. All 9 outlets of this restaurant chain are open from 11 Am to 9 Pm till further Govt instruction. “We are very excited to open all the outlets. We have implemented strict hygiene measures to ensure customer and staff safety”, Said Kabir Azhar, Director of Aminia.

The restaurant has undertaken essential safety measures directed by the government, which applies to both the patrons and in-house staff. By standardizing the WHO enforced safety rules, this restaurant chain has drawn up a serious program to tackle the situation with ease. Temperature checks of the customers are being done at the entrance with proper sanitization. Visitors wearing proper masks are only allowed. Big groups are allowed on prior booking but sitting jointly will not be encouraged. The physical distancing of 6 feet is being maintained in the queue as well as inside the restaurant near the toilet and washing area. The tables are arranged at the 6 ft distance to follow the social distancing norms. Sanitizer sachet is kept at every table. For the in-house staff, the restaurant has made face shields, masks, and gloves compulsory along with temperature checks at least thrice a day. The Security guard is wearing a proper PPE kit. They have also reduced kitchen staff to maintain social distancing inside the kitchen. The tables, chairs, cutlery, and crockery are being cleaned and disinfected after every meal. They have also included the option to avail biodegradable cutlery, crockery, and sanitizer sachet only by paying Rs 20. Deep cleaning and sanitization are being done every fortnight as well as in every 2 hours to keep the premises decontaminated. The restaurant has also decided to encourage the customers to use the digital menu and payment methods. The disposable menu is being provided to those who cannot use the digital platform. They have conducted special training on guest management, raw material management, and kitchen maintenance to ensure the safety and security of their customers and to gain customer’s trust.

“We have taken every possible step and following every Govt guidelines. We have restarted the operation with 20% of our workforce and eventually, we will increase it after observing the foot-fall. It’s a complete revamped process of catering to the customers. We have seen a big spike in the online orders last month. I believe it happened because of two things. Firstly ordering online was the only option left when eating out was prohibited and secondly, we successfully gained the trust of our customers with their health and safety. We are offering the safest service possible to our customers,” He further added.

Apart from the Biryani, Aminia is known for its signature dishes like Mutton Pasinda Kebab, Aminia Special Curry, Mutton Galawati Kebab, Chicken/Mutton Chaap, etc. However, the outlets will be having a limited number of dishes available on their menu; it intends to resume the full menu shortly.

Aminia, to this date, has been one of the prime eateries in Kolkata that serves authentic Awadhi/Mughlai cuisine. Their most popular outlet is in the Futnani Chamber near the Kolkata Municipal Corporation in Sir Stuart Hogg Market or New Market. This outlet was established on 15th August 1947. Today, Aminia has a total of 9 outlets across Kolkata.
